The Balcony by gyaban The Balcony by gyaban
For this photo, I decided to reproduce a surrealistic shot originally created by the french photographer Philippe Ramette.

This was quite EPIC to shoot.
- First I had to buy the wood and build the structure.
- Then, I traveled a first time to a lake a few kilometers away from my house, and measured the depth of the water at various place, in order to build the feet of the structure with appropriate lengths.
- After that, I cut the feet at home, and transported everything back to the lake. Believe me, this thing is heavy! My wife and I had a hard time installing it.
- Shoot!

Thank you so much for the DD! Unbelievable! Also, thank you for all the great comments and favs, they are all VERY appreciated :-)

Agreed. Arguing with you is pointless anyway.
(Now THAT'S the way to use sarcasm in type! Good job. You overcame that boundary. :salute:)

Good day to you too! :)

There I go thinking you don't have a sense of humor! A little girl telling me I'm naive. Good one! lol! Very respectful too!
Anyways, we shouldn't be hijacking qyaban's thread with pointless bickering. Have a good day!

Because if one doesn't have "that" sense of humor than it can come across as a little naive. Maybe even a little disrespectful to the artist who put so much time and hard work into creating the photo.

Sarcasim doesn't translate well into type. Just saying.

I did read the write up.
Of course it's not funny for you when you don't understand it. It wasn't addressed to you. Why would you want to criticize my comment?
